19.Yi Cheng Qian Long Prosperity Dragon Fountain Pen

During The Tang Dynasty, the emperor Tang Tai Zhong associated himself as the dragon, thus elevating the status of the dragon as a mythological sacred creature having the highest respect among all animals.

During the period of the Ming and Qing Dynasty , the colour of Golden is chosen to be the color of the dragon. Emperor or Hung Ti (Yellow Earth) are clothed in golden yellow fabric bearing the precious 5 claw dragon, while his concubine are only entitled to wear dragon designed from emerald green fabric.

Dragons enjoyed its popularity during the reign of Emperor Qian Long of Qing Dynasty. This is also the strongest and prosperous period in the whole of Chinese history. Dragons during this period is often referred to as Prosperity Dragon (Ji Xiang Long).

Our Qian Long Prosperity Dragon Fountain Pen is designed using an age old etching technique. Wet gold paint is drawn onto the pen barrel which has been preheated for 2 hours. When the gold paint has dried, it is submerged into cold water to harden it, resulting in a striking contrast with the background, creating a 3-D effect, an object d¡¯ Art.

Measuring 13.8cm and weighting 48gram, this prosperity dragon has the design of a flying dragon on its barrel and cloud of wealth on its cap. The Cap also bears the Chinese Characters - Prosperity Dragon (Ji Xian Lobg). The pen ring has been dedicatedly decorated with the motif of ancient Qing craftsmanship..
